About the event

October 2022 is the 75th anniversary of the 1947 wildfires that devastated Maine. This exhibit shows the Hiram and Brownfield fires and was jointly created with the Brownfield and Hiram Historical Societies. Photos, video of recollections of the Hiram fires, artifacts of the fire displayed with mannaquins. 1937 fire truck used to fight the fires is exhibited outside. Informative and entertaining for all!
